Some offices encourage Halloween and dressing up in adult costumes for the work day. If you are lucky enough to work at one of these places, you will still have to follow a few simple rules.
Follow the office rules
Make sure that you know what the office rules are regarding wearing an adult costume to work. Some offices only consider wearing black and orange with a Halloween accessory a sufficient amount of holiday spirit. Other offices will allow you to go all out and wear an adult costume. Make sure that you know the rules ahead of time so that your adult costume will fit in.
You are still at work
One thing you must always consider when you are choosing your adult costume to wear to work is that you will be at work. So some costumes that might be humorous outside of the job might not be at the job. For example, if you are a nurse in the emergency room, dressing up as a figure of death is not going to help to make your patients more comfortable.
You will also want to consider basic rules – leave the more risqué adult costumes at home for the afterhours. Basically, when choosing a costume you should remember that these are the same coworkers and clients that you will be working with tomorrow. And while you won’t have your adult costume on tomorrow, it probably will be remembered. Make sure that it is an adult costume that you want to be remembered for because it was fun and creative – not because it was offensive.
Stick with traditional
For some basic rules of what to wear to the office, it is a good idea to stick to the more traditional adult costumes. Costumes that should be avoided are:
· Anything that could be considered “sexy” adult costumes
· Overly gory or horrific costumes
· Any costume that could be considered offensive – such as costumes that portray certain races, genders, or religions in a poor light
Remember office rules are still at play
Remember that even if you wear an adult Halloween costume, it is important to remember that the rules of the office still apply. That includes the sexual harassment policy, rules about racial jokes, homosexuality jokes, and other harassment policies are still in effect. So while you may be pretending to be someone else in your adult Halloween costumes, the same rules still apply.
Other tips
· Wear something that you would be comfortable wearing around your grandmother or other respected adult.
· Ask around to see what other people are wearing. You’ll feel pretty silly if you are the fifth person wearing and adult Spiderman costume.
· Bring a change of clothes. That way you will have a backup if you feel that your adult costume is too risqué or if you are the only person that dressed up.
· If you work with a team, consider a group costume.
· Use common sense with your behavior at the office adult costume party.
· Do not bring the kids in without prior approval from your boss.

If you are looking for a sexy costume for Halloween, or for the bedroom, there are plenty of options out there to choose from. From hardcore sex kitten to a more passive flirt, there is no reason why you just have to pick just one. Sexy costumes allow you to explore another side of your sexuality and can mix fun and fantasy for that special night.
Not sure just what type of sexy costume is right for you? Here is a look at some of the popular genres of sexy costumes to get you started. Take time to shop around, especially online, to get an idea of what is new and exciting.
Super Hero
The super hero costume can be both fun and daring and is suitable for both men and women. What man wouldn’t feel sexy as the Man of Steel and a bustier corset and knee high boots can make any woman feel sexy. Of course a cape and mask can help to set a bit of a mysterious and daring mood as well. Don’t forget the accessories – Wonder Woman isn’t the same without her golden lasso.
Fantasy Man/Woman
Your significant other is sure to have a fantasy character, and with some sexy costumes you can add some adventure to the bedroom. Pirates, cowboys/cowgirls, and jungle men/women are all starting places. And there are plenty of fitted, sexy costumes to consider. Accessories like high heels are also a good way to finish the costume off.
Characters
Why not put a new spin on your favorite literary and movie characters? Characters like Prince Charming and Little Red Riding hood can be made sexy with the right sexy costume. Accessories are an important part here, whether it is Red Riding Hood’s cape or Little Bo Peep’s shepherd’s hook. With these sexy costumes you can definitely rewrite your own bedtime story.
Wings
For women, many sexy costumes have wings. Angels and fairies are often the top choices for these. The nice part about these sexy costumes is that they don’t have to be as skimpy and short as other costumes. If you prefer something long and elegant then wings can definitely spice up the outfit and make you more alluring. And of course, wings also go equally well as a sexy costume when paired with a set of sexy lingerie.
The classics
Of course, when it comes to the sexy costume there are always some classics that never go out of style. For both men and women, anyone in a uniform can be considered sexy, so a sexy fireman or a sexy police officer costume is always popular (especially if your significant other wants to play the “bad” boy or girl). And then there are always the old favorites of the sexy French maid costume of the naughty schoolgirl or nurse. You can use your imagination and make nearly any profession a sexy one with the right sexy costume.
When it comes to sexy Halloween costumes, you are limited only by your imagination and your budget. With so many sexy costumes and sexier accessories out there, all you have to do is pick one out. Shopping online can open up a whole new world of sex costumes if you aren’t yet sure what you would like.

Kids love Halloween and all the fun that comes with it. One of the great excitements of the holiday is to dress up in a kid’s costume. Parents, however, cringe a little when they see the price tag of this year’s must have costume for kids. Here are some tips for getting the most out of your Halloween costumes.
Stick with classics
If you are buying a kids costume for your oldest, it can be good to try to steer him or her towards a more classic kid’s costume. That way, you can recycle it another year for a younger sibling. This may be hard to do however if your child has her heart set on being Hannah Montana this year.
Exchange costumes
If you have friends with kids of similar ages, you can agree to exchange costumes. So if their son really wants to be Superman this year, he could borrow your son’s kids costume from last year. They the two of you split the difference on the cost of a new kids Halloween costume for your son.
Host a costume party
Who says that Halloween can be the only day that you wear your kids Halloween costume? You could host your own Halloween party earlier in the month to give the kids a second chance to wear their costumes. Or, consider having a costume “ball” later in the year or a costume-themed birthday party where the kids can bring out the costumes yet again.
Use them for make believe
If you don’t have another use for your kid’s costume, why not allow the kids to keep on playing with it? Many kids Halloween costumes and accessories can work great for make believe games, skits, and other activities. You might find your daughter wearing her princess gown more frequently than her regular clothes, but at least you are getting your money’s worth.
Resell
Not all parents can afford to buy costumes new, so you can resale last year’s costume online or at your local garage sale. You probably won’t make back the original purchase price, but you can consider it a down payment towards this year’s kids costume.
Donate
You could consider donating your gently used kids’ costume. Women’s shelters, churches, and other charitable organizations can often use them for their activities or to resell. This will allow you to help someone else out, as well as earn credit for this year’s taxes.
Shop online
One of the ways that you can save money on your kids Halloween costumes in the first place is to shop around. Chances are that not only will you find a wider selection of kids’ costumes, but you can also take the time to look around to find the best prices. Just be mindful of shipping times and prices, return policies, and sizing information. A “small” on one site might be a “medium” on another, and vice versa. And you want to make sure that your kids costume arrives on time for the big event. Many costumes cannot be returned if opened or if they have had the tags removed, so keep that under consideration when you buy.

Halloween is a time for fun. Besides the trick-or-treating events and the school carnivals, there are also plenty of adult activities going on. And what better way is there to attend an adult Halloween costume party than with a date in a matching costume?
However, your date might not always be as eager to don a silly costume just in the interest of Halloween. Many couples Halloween costumes are a bit on the silly side. And the majority of men won’t be much help in the planning aspect of the costume either, but still want to retain veto power. So while you might think it would be incredibly cute to go as Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, your date might balk at the idea of having to put on green tights.
Time to compromise
If you really want your date to step up and don the male counterpart to your couple’s costume, then you need something that he will enjoy wearing. So for most guys, wearing something “girly,” like tights, is out. He will want to be comfortable for the party (as will you). Funny is good, silly is bad, and his costume needs to be able to stand alone if you go off to talk to friends.
Hollywood couples
Some of the easiest Halloween couples costumes to pull off are Hollywood couples. Chances are there will already be costumes out there that you can purchase singly or together to wear. How about Elvis and Marilyn Monroe, Fred and Wilma Flintstone, or Hermione and Harry Potter? Of course, with the elections this year you could also go as Obama and Hillary or McCain and Palin depending on which direction your political bias lies.
Funny Halloween couples costumes
Another avenue that you can try for couples costumes is to bring out your sense of humor. This is where online shopping can be fun, since online retailers will often have a wide variety of costumes that are designed specifically for couples to wear on Halloween night. Some that you could give a try:
· Plug and Socket – You go as the wall socket, he goes as the plug. The implications are pretty obvious.
· Chef and an Oven – This can be a great to announce a pregnancy, or celebrate one, if you are pregnant around Halloween. This couples costume has you as the oven and him as the baker.
· Ball and chain – How many times have you heard of the wife being referred to as the ball and chain? If you don’t mind being joined together the whole evening, this can be a fun costume. You wear the ball, he holds on to the chain all evening.
· Pregnant nun and the pastor – if you don’t mind putting your faith at risk, this is an irreverent yet funny costume. You wear the complete nun’s garb, except for one not so minor change – a very obvious pregnancy bump. Your date goes along as the naughty pastor who knocked you up. This can also work well if you are already obviously pregnant and need a Halloween couple’s costume idea.

Teen Halloween costumes can be a bit of a challenge. Some teens can fit into children’s costumes still, but feel that they may have out grown such a theme. Other teens can fit into adult costumes, but might not be ready for some of the adult themes. However, teen Halloween costumes can be somewhere in between, for example costumes which are sized for teens, but offer a wide variety of themes so that you can go cute, scary, sexy, or somewhere in between.
Jobs
Some teens might have joined the working force, others have not. However there are plenty of occupation-themed teen Halloween costumes that can be fun to try out this Halloween. Why not be a cute little milk maid or the girl who sells Swiss Miss? Restaurant workers and other themed costumes can also be fun to pull off.
The military
Military costumes are always a hit for teens, and they can range from serious to fun. Any “army brat” costume can be a cute version for any girl who wants to be a flirt. For guys, there are plenty of options for teen Halloween costumes in this genre, including the Air Force, Army, Navy, or Marines.
Fantasy
Fantasy teen Halloween costumes can allow teens to relive their childhood favorites. Be an enchanting pixie like Tinkerbell or the mischievous Robin Hood. Skip through the woods as Red Riding Hood or Goldilocks. Or be a cute animal like a cat or a puppy dog. More traditional costumes like clowns and ballerinas can be redone with more of a teenage theme to them.
Movies
The movies are always a great source of inspiration for teen Halloween costumes. Any of the characters from the Wizard of Oz are popular. From more recent movies try a character from the Pirates of the Caribbean, Hairspray, or the Nightmare Before Christmas. And then there are always teen Halloween costumes for the summer’s greatest flicks – expect to see a lot of Batman characters this Halloween.
History
There are always plenty of historical references that can be used for teen Halloween costumes. The Renaissance has plenty of ideas for both guys and girls. Or go further back and visit the Nile or Ancient Greece for more inspiration. Or look to the near history for teen costume ideas and go as a disco diva or an 80’s gal.
Scary
Halloween wouldn’t be the same without scary costumes, and many teens like to get into this genre as well. Often, the bloodier and the scarier the better the costume is. Vampires, zombies, witches, and other monsters and ghouls can be perfect teen costumes.
Teens can pretty much go in any direction when it comes to choosing a Halloween costume. Simply let your imagination, and your budget, guide you to what you think is best. Remember to shop early in order to find the best costume, as with the rise in teen costume popularity the best ones often sell out quickly. And don’t forget the accessories! For many costumes, they are the best way to identify a costume or make it more unique to your teen.
